Featured placement is a separate, clearly labelled advertising product sold only to courses already holding Verified status, and it never affects whether or how a course is verified.
Does verification guarantee results?
No. TrustMyCourse verifies objective, checkable characteristics of a course. We make no claim about income, employment, return on investment or whether you will succeed. Any course promising guaranteed outcomes is treated as a problem during review, not a selling point.
How are courses checked?
A reviewer works through a published list of criteria covering curriculum, creator identity, access and delivery, advertised claims, pricing and terms, and any promised support. There are two ways of getting there: a direct course review, where the creator gives us learner access, and a buyer evidence review, where we assess evidence from people who bought the course. Both are held to the same standard and produce the same badge. The result of each check is recorded, and the method used and the checks completed are both shown on the course’s public profile.
Can verification be removed?
Yes. Verification carries a date and a scheduled re-check. If a course materially changes, if its marketing starts making claims it cannot support, or if a substantiated report shows it no longer meets the standard, the status is updated or withdrawn and the public record reflects that.
How can a creator submit a course?
Creators apply through TrustMyCourse with their course and its public sales page. We then agree how the review will be carried out, either by giving us access to the course, or by providing evidence from people who bought it. TrustMyCourse can also start a review on its own where a course is public or free to enrol in, and the result means the same either way. We confirm what is needed before a review begins, and the published criteria are available in full beforehand so there are no surprises about what is assessed.
Why are most courses only listed?
Verification is a manual check, so the register grows one decision at a time. 35 of 500+ listed courses currently hold a verification. The rest are listed without a TrustMyCourse review, and we say so on every one of them.
TrustMyCourse reviews courses against a published standard and publishes a dated record of what was checked. Verified courses can display the mark on their own sales page, served from here so it stays current.
