Privacy notice

When you submit a course through our submission form, we collect the details you enter: your name, your email address, the course name, the course website, the provider or company name, the category you choose, how the course could be reviewed, and any optional message (up to 2000 characters). We also record the date and time the submission was made.

We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics, we run no tracking scripts, and we do not build a profile of visitors. Browsing the site does not require you to give us anything.

To assess whether the course is suitable for review, to carry out that review, and to reply to you about it. That is the only purpose. We do not send marketing, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not sell or share submission details for anyone else’s purposes.

Your name and email are used to correspond with you. The course details are used to assess the submission. If a course is verified, the resulting public profile describes the course — it does not publish your personal contact details.

A submission is delivered to us through a third-party service, and is handled by our hosting provider in transit. Specifically:

• An email delivery provider, or a form endpoint of our choosing, used only to deliver your submission to us.
• Our hosting provider, which processes the request that carries your submission.

These providers act on our instructions and are used only to deliver and store the submission. We will name the specific providers here once the service opens publicly and the configuration is fixed.

Submissions are kept while we are considering the course and, if it is verified, for as long as we maintain that course’s public verification record — the record of who submitted it is part of how that verification can be audited.

If a course is not taken forward, we delete the submission once the enquiry is closed and there is no outstanding correspondence. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@trustmycourse.com and we will deal with it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you may be able to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

If this notice changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. This page is written to describe what the service actually does today, not what it might do later.
